In 1999 I sold...
a 1966 Cadillac Hearse
It had 64,800 miles. The engine was a Cadillac 429 V-8 in excellent running condition. Hearse body by M&M.
After spending ten years in use as a Hearse (1966-1977) this car was painted green and white and has been in use as occasional (once a month) personal transportation since then. It was in California (no salt) until 1998 when I drove it to Connecticut. It has been garaged ever since.
A sunroof and raised (4 inches) top were added in 1977. It had four new tires plus two spares. Work done 1998-1999 included a new voltage regulator, exhaust manifold, rear axle, brake drums, and a new Sony AM/FM/cassette stereo (removable face-plate). The original casket rollers have been left in, but the interior light fixtures were removed.
Its HUGE interior capacity (larger than a full-size van) makes it ideal as for moving, hauling, or as a band car.
